GIBSON CITY – The Tri-Point boys basketball team lost 105-17 to Lexington in the Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Thanksgiving Tournament on Wednesday. Nate Smith led Tri-Point (0-2) with nine points while Aiden Pelehowski had six points and Trace Rogers had two points. Hoopeston Area defeated Fisher 70-64.

GCMS 8th-grade girls basketball ends season with loss in regional finals
ONARGA – The Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley eighth-grade girls basketball team lost 24-13 to Armstrong-Ellis in the IESA Class 2A regional championship game on Tuesday. Bailey Bunting led GCMS with six points. The Falcons ended their season with a 17-4 record while Armstrong-Ellis remains undefeated with a 19-0 mark.
