ST. CHARLES, Mo. – Payton Lackey, a Paxton-Buckley-Loda High School junior-to-be, was selected for the All-American Team at a National Cheerleaders Association cheer camp held last weekend at Lindenwood University.
More than 400 cheerleaders were in attendance with more than 15 schools represented. The PBL squad had its entire team of 20 cheerleaders nominated for the All-American team – the Panthers were the only squad with all team members nominated.
Athletes were nominated for various achievements in stunting, jumps, motions and leadership.
The Panthers had nine of their athletes complete the tryout process, with Lackey receiving a selection to the NCA All-American National Team. Lackey also received the Pin-It Forward Award from a staff member for her leadership and positive attitude.
