SKOKIE — Stephanie Hernandez, 39, of Skokie, formerly of Paxton, died Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
Cremation rites were accorded. A memorial visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 29, at the Cox- Knapp Funeral Home in Paxton.
She was born Dec. 22, 1985, in Chicago, the daughter of Albert Hernan- dez and Kimberly Moore.
Surviving are her father; her lifelong partner, Don Brown; two stepchildren, Darrius Brown and Darria Brown; five sisters, Alexis (Jeremy) Jesse, Ashley Hernandez (Zach Eigenbauer), Tiffany Arriaga, Holly Blanchard and Kimberly Williams; her special friends, JoeAnna Enghausen and Shana Eisenstein; her beloved dog, Karma; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her maternal grandmother, Marilyn Moore.
She graduated from Paxton Buckley-Loda High School in 2004. She had a love for plants, music, her beloved dogs, and the simple joy of being surrounded by family and friends. She filled every room with her loud, confident spirit — unapologetically herself. She embraced her height with pride and carried her Puerto Rican heritage close to her heart. Her favorite color was purple, a fitting reflection of her vibrant and bold personality. For 20 years, she was a dedicated and valued member of the team at Network Title in Skokie, where her presence left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Memorials may be made to her family.
