GIBSON CITY — Stanley Eugene Brucker, 61, a native of Gibson City, died Thursday, March 21, 2024.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, at Drummer Township Cemetery in Gibson City.

M r . Brucker was born April 27, 1962, to Lyle K. and Norma J. Brucker in Gibson City. He grew up there, playing football for Gibson City High School. He completed a degree in criminal justice at Parkland College in Champaign.

Mr. Brucker pursued police work but ultimately felt a call to ministry and completed degrees at Christ for the Nations (AA), Jimmy Swaggart Bible College (BA) and Columbia International University (MA).

Mr. Brucker was an accomplished business owner who loved teaching others how to use their business as missions overseas. He completed several trips to countries in South America, Asia, Africa and North America. He loved Jesus and lived his life to draw others to Christ.

Surviving are his wife, Ellen; his four children from his first marriage, Martha, Jonathan, Joshua and Olivia; Ellen’s daughters, Holly and Jordan; his brothers, Ray of Jonesboro, Ark., and Kenny of Phoenix, Ariz.; and five grandchildren.
