Stephanie Kaye Vance, age 36, of Paxton, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025. She was born on September 15, 1988, in Urbana, the daughter of Steve and Becky (Storm) Wesch. Stephanie married Curtis Vance on December 16, 2017, in Urbana.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Vance of Paxton; her daughter, Brynlee Kaye Vance of Paxton; her parents, Steve and Becky Wesch of Arcola; a brother Aaron (Shayla) Wesch of Charleston; maternal grandmother, Kay Stoever of Florida; and three nieces and three nephews. She is also survived by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Barb and Gary Vance of Loda; a brother-in-law, Taylor Vance of Buckley; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.
Stephanie filled her days with love for her family and the people around her. She worked for seven years at Little Hearts and Hands in Urbana. She was also proud to have earned her degrees from the University of Illinois and Lakeview College of Nursing. She was a true fan of Illinois Football, always cheering for the Fighting Illini and Ohio State Buckeyes. Stephanie loved her cats and the simple joys of living in the country, caring for her home. More than anything, she treasured being married to Curtis and being the proud mom of their daughter, Brynlee.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., at Cox-Knapp Funeral Home in Paxton. A funeral service will follow on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home. A private graveside service will be held at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Loda.
