Larry S. Keith, 75, of Gibson City peacefully passed away Saturday June 14, 2025 at Gibson Area Hospital in Gibson City surrounded by his daughters. A Celebration of Life Open House will begin at 1:00 pm Friday July 11, 2025 at the Lee Lowery American Legion Post #568 in Gibson City. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family.
He was born December 22, 1949 in Gibson City, a son of Frank and Mary (Jensen) Keith. He married Roberta Kirkpatrick on August 23, 1969 in Gibson City.
Larry is survived by his five daughters Dawn (Troy) Hobbs of Gibson City, Amy (Joe) Trhlik of Saybrook, Angie Keith of Saybrook, Jaime Kelly of Saybrook and Dana Arends of Gibson City. Eleven grandchildren Callie, Hannah, Joey, Dalton, Macy, Presley, Devon, Gage, Cicilia, Ahlden, and Braden, as well as nine great grandchildren. His siblings Steve Keith of Sylvania, Georgia; Randy (Kathy) Keith of Monticello; Mark (Mary) Keith of Kiefer, Oklahoma; Bob (Candace) Keith of Tennessee; and Kristy (Danny) Finkenbinder of Pontiac. Seven nieces and nephews as well as many friends.
He was an ironworker by trade and worked for Charles Dewey Construction. He retired from Stokley VanCamp after many years of service. Larry was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and Indianapolis Colts fan. He was a hunter and a music lover. He cherished times dancing with his girls; this made him happy. He was tough, resilient, stubborn but most of all he had a heart of gold.
