Obituary: Jerrie Enghausen


Jerrie L. Enghausen, 67, of Gibson City passed away Saturday March 29, 2025 from injuries received in an automobile accident. A Celebration of Jerie’s life will be held at a later date at Rosenbaum Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to an organization of the Donor’s Choice.

Jerrie was born February 15, 1958 in Gibson City. A daughter of Wayne Perkins and Marilyn Joan Richard Perkins. She married Jim Enghausen on November 5, 1983 in Sibley. 

She is survived by her husband of forty-one years Jim Enghausen of Gibson City. Her son Eric (Kristina) Meece of Gibson City. Three grandchildren Hannah Meece of Concord, North Carolina Alex Meece and Jillian Meece of Gibson City. Her mother Joan Perkins of Gibson City. Four siblings Lorri Mayes of Columbia, Missouri, Jimmie (Larry) Lange, Richard “Bird” (Diane) Perkins and Mike (Myra) Perkins all of Gibson City. Also, Jeremy (April) Rotramel and their children Ian, Isaac, and Austin Rotramel also survive.

Jerrie was welcomed into heaven by her daughter Jill Meece Rotramel and her father.

She worked at the Glove Factory in Gibson City, then at Big R, the Dry Cleaners and Bell Helmet in Rantoul. She was currently employed at Gibson Area Hospital as a housekeeper. A job that she did with compassion. She was a St. Louis Cardinals fan and did not pass up a chance to play Euchre.
