Donna was a 1965 graduate of Melvin-Sibley High School. She was a dedicated member of the Melvin United Methodist Church where she was the church organist for fifty-three years and sang in the choir as well as serving as church secretary for many years. Music was her passion she played for many weddings and funerals and accompanied Larry singing and often sang together. Donna worked on the farm where needed and enjoyed working with the Ford County Extension and then later the Ford-Iroquois Extension. She served on the Ford-Iroquois Woman’s Committee and was an election judge for twenty years and a member of the Eastern Star for over fifty years as well as the Legion Auxiliary and Woman’s Club.
When Donna wasn’t volunteering, she found enjoyment and relaxation embroidering, listening to music especially movie musicals, reading and cross-word puzzles. She collected angels, milk bottles, cardinals and many, many cows. Her caring ways, soft touch and sparkling eyes will be missed by all that were blessed to have her in their lives.
