CISSNA PARK — Helen L. Hamrick, 94, of Cissna Park, died Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Carle Hoopeston Regional Health Center.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday July 24, at the Cissna Park United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ashley Clifton officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 24, at the church. Burial will be at Amity Cemetery near Goodwine. Arrangements are being handled by the Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park.
She was born Feb. 17, 1931, in Fairbury, a daughter of Charles and Bessie (Hornsby) Martin. She married Daniel “Beaner” Hamrick in Rankin on March 26, 1950, and he died Nov. 28, 1999.
Surviving are one daughter,
Sharon (Ronnie) Rieches of Buckley; three sons, Dan (Jackie) Hamrick of Cissna Park, Randy (Merry) Hamrick of Stedman, N.C., and Rod Hamrick of Cissna Park; six grandchildren, Triss (Andy) Henderson, Tyler (Beth) Rieches, Tracy (Chad) Ideus, Philip (Erica) Hamrick, Molly (Ken) Hale and Rebekah (Ethan) Martin; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Don Martin of Hoopeston; and one sister, Margaret Rechkemmer of Winter Haven, Fla.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
She was a member of the Cissna Park United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Claytonville Civic Club. She enjoyed sewing.
