KEMPTON — The Tri- Point school board met Wednesday, Nov. 19, in the board room at the unit office at 101 E. Main St. in Kempton, with the following occurring:
The board approved bids for snow removal at the district’s three campuses, including a bid from Hack Farms at an hourly rate of $100 for the Piper City campus, a bid from Zach Gerdes at an hourly rate of $100 for the Cullom campus and a bid from Pilot Construction at an hourly rate of $145 for the Kempton campus.
The board voted to accept a $23,327 bid from Husar Abatement Ltd. for asbestos abatement in the high school’s band room.
The board voted to accept the resignation of Torin Mettille as transportation coordinator, retroactive to Oct. 22.
The board voted to accept the district’s annual financial report for fiscal year 2025.
The board approved a tentative version of the district’s 2025 tax levy and set a truth-in-taxation hearing for 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, at the unit office.
The board approved applying for a school maintenance grant.
The board approved a consent agenda, which included authorization for the superintendent to seek gasoline fuel bids.
The board approved a resolution in support of expanding the use of the Livingston County sales tax. The next meeting is Dec. 17.
