Piper City, Ford Central alumni reunion held


PIPER CITY — The Piper City Community High School and Ford Central High School alumni reunion was held Saturday, May 24, at the Piper City Community Building with about 60 attending.

Classes honored were in graduation years ending in one or five. Attending from the the class of 1965 were Jerry Curtis, Rex Reinagle, Greg Perkinson, Wayne Morrison, John Boomgarden, Lynn Cribbet Johnson and Maria Bork Millen.

PCCHS’s last graduating class was in 1974. The next year, Roberts-Thawville and Piper City schools consolidated to form the Ford Central school district. Ford Central’s first high school graduates were in 1975, and its last graduating class was in 1992. Then, in fall 1992, another reorganization split up the Ford Central district, with Piper City going to the Tri- Point school district, Thawville going to the Iroquois West school district and Roberts going to the Paxton-Buckley-Loda school district.
