PAXTON — The Paxton Police Department released the following list of recent activity:
Lindsey M. Alsene, 28, of Paxton, was arrested for domestic battery after Paxton police responded to a report of a physical altercation in the 500 block of East Orleans Street around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, and found a victim there with injuries.
Jordan B. King, 27, of Rantoul, was arrested for driving with a suspended driver’s license and ticketed for speeding during a traffic stop at 12:26 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, near the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Summer Street. The traffic stop was conducted after police allegedly saw King driving a 2013 Chrysler 200 at 53 mph in a 40-mph speed zone while southbound on Railroad Avenue. Police confirmed that King had a suspended Illinois driver’s license, and her vehicle was impounded under city ordinance.
Michael T. Wiggins, 45, of Bradley, was arrested for traveling to meet a minor, solicitation to meet a minor and indecent solicitation of a child around 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 18, in the 600 block of East Pells Street. The arrest followed an investigation by Paxton police into online communications that Wiggins had with an officer posing undercover as a teenager, starting on Aug. 11, 2023. Wiggins arrived in Paxton to meet up with a 16-year-old girl. The 2009 Chevrolet Silverado that he was driving was impounded by police under city ordinance.
No injuries were reported and no tickets were issued following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Market and Franklin streets just south of Paxton’s downtown around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15. The accident occurred when Evannia H. Frichtl, 19, of Paxton, was driving a 2013 Hyundai north on Market Street and struck the rear of a northbound 2024 Dodge Ram driven by Benjamin Isreal, 51, of Lowell, Ind., as his truck slowed to turn left onto Franklin Street.
Erwin R. Chub Chee, 24, of Watseka, was arrested for driving with no valid driver’s license and ticketed for operating a vehicle with suspended registration and operating an uninsured vehicle during a traffic stop at 3:29 p.m. Sunday, May 11, in the 300 block of East Patton Street. The traffic stop was conducted after police were notified by the city’s Flock Safety license-plate-reading cameras of a vehicle
with suspended registration, which they soon located. The 2016 Ford Focus was impounded by police under city ordinance.

WATSEKA — The Iroquois County Sheriff’s Office released the following list of recent activity:
Joshua Sauberli, 31, of Donovan, was arrested on an Iroquois County warrant for failure to appear in court for driving with a suspended driver’s license during a traffic stop on Friday, May 23, and was transported to the Iroquois County Jail in Watseka to await an appearance in court.
Nathaniel Tjarks, 50, of Paxton, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear in court for driving under the influence of alcohol on Friday, May 23, and was transported from the Champaign County Jail, where he was being held, to the Iroquois County Jail in Watseka to await an appearance in court.
Anthony Bolian Brown, 35, of Danville, was arrested on an Iroquois County warrant for failure to appear in court for driving with a revoked driver’s license on Friday, May 23, and was transported from the Vermilion County Jail, where he was being held, to
the Iroquois County Jail in Watseka to await an appearance in court.
Andy Leppard, 45, of Wellington, was transported to the Iroquois County Jail in Watseka to await extradition to the Illinois Department of Corrections on Thursday, May 22, after being sentenced in Iroquois County Circuit Court to three years in state prison for burglary.
Brittany Merrill, 34, of Momence, was arrested for disorderly conduct on Wednesday, May 21, and was transported to the Iroquois County Jail in Watseka and later released with a notice to appear in court. The arrest occurred after sheriff’s deputies responded to a disturbance in Crescent City and learned that Merrill had threatened and harassed residents while she was intoxicated.
Taylor Jackson, 36, of Gilman, was arrested on Iroquois County warrants for theft (less than $500) and theft (over $500) on Tuesday, May 20, at the Iroquois County Courthouse in Watseka. Jackson was transported to the Iroquois County Jail in Watseka to await an appearance in court.
Connor Janssen, 25, of Ashkum, was arrested for criminal damage to property (over $500), resisting/obstructing a peace officer and driving under the influence of alcohol on Monday, May 19, and was transported to the Iroquois County Jail in Watseka and later released with a notice to appear in court. The arrest occurred after sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of someone damaging a vehicle in Crescent City. Janssen allegedly resisted deputies’ attempts to place him under arrest.
Felicity Pelton, 32, of Crescent City, was arrested on a LaSalle County warrant for forgery during a traffic stop on Monday, May 19, and was transported to the Iroquois County Jail in Watseka and later transferred into the custody of LaSalle County.
