DOWNS – The Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley varsity softball team lost 7-1 to Tri-Valley on Wednesday.
Mallory Rosendahl hit 2-for-4 with a run scored while Cally Kroon produced an RBI and Izzy Gawthorp and Bella Young each had a hit for GCMS (11-9, 5-5 Heart of Illinois Conference).
On the mound, Rosendahl allowed four runs – three earned – on eight hits and three walks with six strikeouts through five innings. Gawthorp allowed three earned runs on three hits and one walk with one strikeout through one inning.
