GIBSON CITY – The Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Middle School softball team won 12-7 over Fisher on Saturday.
Lexi Farmer hit 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored while Brooklyn Johnson and Haven Kean each produced two RBIs and Avery Bielfeldt, Piper Holzhauer, Khloe Huff and Sophia Thomsen each drove in a run.
On the mound, Johnson struck out 12 batters and walked three while allowing seven runs – two earned – on five hits through seven innings.
