GCMS boys golf finishes third in home outing


SAYBROOK – The Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley High School boys golf team finished third in a five-team home outing on Thursday.

The Falcons finished with a score of 183 behind Bismarck-Henning (164) and Ridgeview (179) and ahead of Heyworth (190) and Buckley Christ Lutheran (280).

Dayne White finished first individually for GCMS with a score of 40 while teammate Rylan Urrutia finished ninth overall with a tally of 45.

Eric Carley (47) and Carson Young (51) also contributed to the Falcons’ team score while teammates Jason Christensen and Cooper Brake each finished with tallies of 57.

For Buckley Christ Lutheran, Skyler Sandstedt led with a score of 58, followed by teammates Henry Wagner (71), Levi Wagner (72) and Josh VanHoveln (79).
