Brayden Elliott tosses perfect game for GCMS in 3-0 win over Rantoul


GIBSON CITY – Brayden Elliott of the Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley varsity baseball team pitched a perfect game on Tuesday.

Elliott struck out 13 batters through seven innings as GCMS won 3-0 over Rantoul. He tossed 74 pitches, including 56 strikes.

At the plate, Trent Wetherell went 2-for-3 with one RBI and a run scored while Elliott doubled and scored a run. Graydon Leonard and Zeb Greer each produced an RBI while David Hull tallied a run.
