Paxton Police Blotter (May 4, 2020)


 

 

PAXTON — At 2:13 p.m. Friday, May 1, the Paxton Police Department responded to a call about a criminal trespass at the Paxton Moblie Home Park located at Weavers Court.

Jason A. Battishill, a 37-year-old male from Paxton, was located at No. 14 Weavers Court, where he was taken into custody and transported to the Ford County Sheriff’s Office.

At 6:02 p.m. Monday, April 27, Paxton Police had previously received a report of a male who had previously received a report of a male who has been repeatedly been driving through Paxton on a revoked driver’s license.

Officers saw Richard L. Cruse, a 35-year-old male from Thawville, driving a 1995 GMC Safari minivan.

As officers attempts to stop, he decided to flee. Officers pursued the vehicle, which ultimately came to a stop at Triangle Trailer Park, which is near Ludlow.

Cruse was taken into custody and charged with aggravated driving while license is revoked, aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude police.

He was taken into custody and trasnsported to the Ford County Sheriff’s Office. The vehicle was seized under City Ordinance and Article 36.

At 6:48 p.m. Monday, April 27, the Paxton Police responded to a report of a domestic situation at the Paxton Inn, located at 980 W. ottawa Road.

The police arriving on scene spoke to Amanda D. Moss, a 25-year-old female from Urbana, and found that she had a valid Ford County failure to appear arrest warrant. Moss was arrested and transported to the Ford County Sheriff’s Office.
