PAXTON — The Paxton Police Department released the following list of recent activity:

Jeffrey P. Chadwicke, 40, of Decatur.
— Jeffrey P. Chadwicke, 40, of Decatur, was arrested for indecent solicitation of a child, solicitation to meet a child, sexual exploitation of a child and an Illinois Department of Corrections parole violation on Wednesday, Oct. 1, in connection with an investigation by Paxton police. The arrest occurred in the 3000 block of North 27th Street in Decatur following the execution of a search warrant in the 1900 block of North Church Street in Decatur. Chadwicke allegedly began communicating online with a Paxton police officer posing as a 15-year-old girl on Jan. 3. Following his arrest, Chadwicke was transported to the Ford County Sheriff’s Office in Paxton, where he was detained.
— No injuries were reported and no tickets were issued following a two-vehicle crash that happened around 11:04 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, at the intersection of Pells and American streets on Paxton’s west side. The crash occurred when a 17-year-old female from Paxton was driving a 2018 Hyndai Senata north on American Street and struck the driver’s side of a westbound 2018 Ford F150 pickup truck driven by Adam P. Swessel, 30, of Lafayette, Ind.
