Workers for the city of Paxton and Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative put up downtown Paxton’s Christmas tree on Monday, Nov. 24, at the intersection of State and Market streets, where it will remain through the holiday season. As an annual project of the nonprofit Paxton Service Club, the evergreen was selected from among those offered up for the cause by Paxton residents. This year’s tree was donated by Adam Johnson of 910 S. Vermilion St.
