Colin was born November 9, 2005 in Naperville, Illinois. A son of Jay William and Lori Hutchcraft Kristensen.

He is survived by his proud parents of Gibson City. Twin sister and best womb-mate Kate Noelle Kristensen of Gibson City, little brother Evan Landers-Kristensen of Gibson City, maternal grandmother Carol Hutchcraft of Gibson City, paternal grandmother Janet Kristensen of Batavia, Aunt Beth Hutchcraft Smith (Uncle Brian and cousin Payton) of Mattoon, Illinois, Uncle Brett Kristensen (Aunt Tina, Cousins Kyle and Kayden) of Batavia, Illinois. Colin was looking forward to being a senior at GCMS High School where he was a proud member of the GCMS FFA Chapter and took pride in being the audio technician for the schools performing arts program since 8th grade. He had also been a member of the Falcon Football team and Track & Field team. He loved hunting and fishing with his dad and friends, and winter survival hikes with his outdoor loving friends.

Colin loved music of all genres, his favorite being country, the older the better. He was an old soul who loved listening to music with his best buds around a bonfire, attending concerts, and always some dancing when the music started. Colin had started to write his own songs which helped him express how he felt about love, his friends, being loved and the crazy world around him. He was a true patriot and loved his country fiercely.

Colin was a member of the First Christian Church of Gibson City where he was baptized on December 1, 2019. He openly confessed his faith in God and Jesus Christ and proudly led prayer with his friends on the football field, and at school. The absence and loss of Colin to love daily will be immeasurable, but he is now a part of that great cloud of witnesses singing song for the Lord. He will be forever young.
